After Jesus entered Jerusalem, He went straight to the temple.
And what He found there… wasn’t worship.
It was distraction.
It was business.
It was people going through the motions.
So Jesus did something that would have surprised a lot of people.
He didn’t quietly observe.
He didn’t just teach.
He took action.
He overturned the tables.
He drove out what didn’t belong.
He made it clear—this place was meant for God.
Because Jesus doesn’t come to blend into our lives.
He comes with authority.
And that’s still true today.
We’re often comfortable letting Jesus be part of our lives—
as long as He doesn’t interfere too much.
But Jesus doesn’t operate that way.
He has authority over every part of our lives—
our priorities, our habits, our hearts.
And one day, when He returns, that authority will be fully revealed for all to see.
There won’t be any debate.
There won’t be any resistance.
Every knee will bow.
So the question for us now is simple:
Are we willingly surrendering to His authority today…
or waiting until we have no choice later?
Takeaway:
Jesus isn’t just part of your life—He is Lord over it.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me not just include You in my life, but surrender every part of it to You. Have Your rightful place in my heart.
