What is Encounter?

Encounter Weekend is for people who want to know more about Friends Baptist Church and explore the step from attending to membership.

What will we do?

Friday: Get to know Friends. Enjoy a free dinner as our leadership team shares the mission and vision of the church.

Saturday: Discover where you fit. Share breakfast and learn about opportunities to serve and get involved.

Sunday: Explore serving. Discover your place to serve and experience a ministry firsthand.

How long is Encounter?

The main sessions take place Friday evening and Saturday morning:

  • Friday: 6:30–8:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM–noon
Do I have to join the church afterward?

No. Encounter is required for membership, but you are welcome to attend without committing to join.

When are the 2027 weekends?

January 29–30, May 14–15, and September 24–25, 2027. Contact our church office for registration information.
