The Rejected King — Agreement isn’t surrender. Have you truly given Him control?

By this point in the week, it was becoming clear—
not everyone was celebrating Jesus.

The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna”
was being influenced by leaders who had already made up their minds.

They didn’t reject Jesus because He wasn’t clear.
They rejected Him because He didn’t fit what they wanted.

He challenged their authority.
He exposed their hearts.
He called for surrender.

And instead of bowing… they resisted.

And if we’re honest, that struggle still exists today.

It’s possible to admire Jesus…
to listen to His teaching…
even to agree with parts of what He says—

and still not surrender to Him.

Because surrender means letting go of control.
It means trusting Him over ourselves.

And that’s where the tension is.

They rejected Him then.
But that didn’t change who He was.

He is still the cornerstone.
He is still the King.
And one day, every person will recognize it.

The question is not if He is King—
it’s whether we’re willing to acknowledge it now.

Takeaway:
It’s not enough to agree with Jesus—you must surrender to Him.

Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want to resist You in any area of my life. Help me fully surrender and trust You completely.
